Everything you need to know about Murmur.
What is Murmur?
No. You don't perform here. You set the scene — they speak. You listen.
They speak to you — "I" and "you." Not narration. Not about you. To you.
Ways to Murmur
Different entry points depending on what you need:
Characters & Voices
Meet Our Originals:
Alongside the Originals, there's a growing community voice library — voices brought in by other listeners for characters they love.
Yes. If there's a character you want to hear from and they're not in the library, you can upload a voice and bring them in yourself.
A few ground rules:
Yes. They learn your preferences, your moods, your comfort triggers. Every murmur feels more like yours.
Fill in Preferences (name, tones, pronouns) and the About You cards — interests, what you eat, whether you play an instrument, any allergies. The more they know, the more it sounds like they're actually speaking to you.
Memory is shared across features — a Pulse Check, a Scenario, a Check-in all pull from the same pool. Your characters share what you tell them too, so mention something to one and the others know it matters.
Want to keep something between you and one character? Turn off Shared memory in Preferences, and each one only knows what you told them directly.
Preferences & Control
Yes. In Preferences you'll find:
Yes. In Preferences → Memory, turn off Shared memory.
On by default, your characters share what you tell them, so you're never repeating yourself. Turn it off and each one only knows what you told them directly — every murmur, from a Check-in to a Goodnight Murmur.
Nothing is deleted, so you can switch it back on any time. This applies going forward. What they already know stays shared.
Library & Sharing
Two ways:
Threads
We mark the days you come back.
Your thread is the run of days you keep going. Two actions a day holds it: any combination of Check-in, Pulse Check, Scenario, or Gift.
On Favored and Beloved, Horoscope and Goodnight Murmur count too. Resets at 4am your local time.
Every 10 days your thread stays alive, you earn a saved day, on any plan. If you miss a day with no qualifying actions, one is used automatically at 4am your local time to keep your thread going. No action needed.
How many saved days you can hold at once depends on your plan: 1 on Free, 3 on Favored, 5 on Beloved.
Once a saved day is used, the next one comes at your next 10-day mark.
Reach Day 7, 15, or 30 with your thread still held, and the reward is yours. What you get depends on your plan, and the cycle starts fresh every 30 days.
Bonus Scenarios and Pulse Checks don't expire. We use your daily ones first, so anything bonus stays until you need it.
